JOB TITLE:                Maintenance Technician

DEPARTMENT:        Maintenance

COMPENSATION:    HOURLY LEVEL H3 pay range ($24-$32/hour)

POSITION REPONSIBILITIES

• Support the maintenance needs of the organization by responding to equipment failures in a timely, efficient manner and achieve agreed upon metrics for maintenance downtime in production.
• Will help refine and adhere to the organization's preventative maintenance program.
• Responsible for aiding in the installation and maintenance of new equipment.
• Required to work closely with other maintenance team members, QA, production, leadership, and production teams.
• Support operators with training, set-up, adjustment, and operation of production and packaging equipment
• Report all safety concerns and incidents. Include possible corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with production and leadership teams.
• Execute work orders in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Help maintain hardware and parts to appropriate levels. Report inventory shortages to supervisor.
• Follow organizational standards as it pertains to tool cleanliness and inventory.

QUALITFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

• English (reading and writing), Basic Mathematics, Bi-Lingual (Spanish, reading and writing) highly preferred.
• Overall knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated equipment, PLC/logic control, and HVAC systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, parts breakdowns, schematics, and electrical prints.
• Goal oriented team player, reliable and punctual, resilient, empathetic, highly adaptive to change, positive attitude.
• Must be able to follow all food safe handling  (SQF) procedures.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance field, preferably in a related industry and on related equipment.
• Safety protocol & Lockout tagout knowledgeable.
• Food manufacturing environment (preferred).
